Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes medications to advance the care of patients suffering from life-threatening diseases in areas of unmet medical need. The company continues to explore new ground in HIV and viral hepatitis while expanding its research in other areas including hematology and oncology, inflammatory disorders, and neglected/emerging viral diseases.As Senior Research Associate you will participate in a multi-disciplinary drug discovery team through the design and synthesis of new molecules. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record and a commitment to tackling drug discovery challenges through organic synthesis.Responsibilities:

B.S. with 2 years of industry experience or M.S. in Organic Chemistry with an emphasis on synthetic methodology or total synthesisStrong synthetic skills and a solid knowledge of modern organic synthesis techniquesStrong written and oral communication skills.The salary range for this position is: $92,820.00 - $120,120.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
