We are searching for a seasoned Security Engineer with a solid grasp of SOC2 and PCI requirements. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in the security field, with practical knowledge in both application and infrastructure security, and experience in securing cloud-based applications.Key attributes include strong communication skills to advocate for security needs while balancing business impact, the ability to operate independently, and proactively identify and address security issues. While knowledge of the payments space and security best practices in payments processing is a plus, it is not required.You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams to design secure solutions, act as a security subject matter expert for both technical and non-technical audiences, and enhance Forage’s security through automation, tooling, and training. Your role also involves ensuring compliance with industry security standards, driving large cross-team projects to bolster security, and mentoring colleagues on security best practices.Qualifications:
Exhibit a strong understanding of CS fundamentals from your Bachelor's in CS, engineering, related discipline, or equivalent industry experienceMultiple years of experience in security in industryStrong communication skills to help advocate for security needs while balancing business impactPractical knowledge across application and infrastructure securityDemonstrated experience securing applications in a cloud environmentAbility to operate independently and proactively find and surface issues to the wider engineering teamNice to have: A knowledge of payments space and security best practices surrounding payments processingKey Responsibilities:
