Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.HDR is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Water Business Group team in Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, or Winston-Salem, NC with a technical background in water and wastewater pump stations and pipelines or water and wastewater treatment. The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting projects through planning, design and construction phases. Project types could include water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations, water treatment plants, wastewater treatments plants and related infrastructure projects. They will need to be skilled in planning studies, field alignment studies, coordinating with sub-consultants and utility owners, preparing preliminary and final design, drawing preparation coordination, developing technical specifications, and performing office and field services during construction. They will also be expected to direct production staff and perform client management activities to support our North Carolina based team.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldNorth Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) licensePrevious experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projectsAbility to make independent decisions and be accountable for the resultsLocal candidates are preferredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldPrevious experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a taskAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
