Job SummaryThe anticipated duration of this assignment is approximately 10 weeks.Key Responsibilities:Literature review, data collection and analysis.Contributes to designing interview and focus group and code book guides.Conducts qualitative analysis and coding of data, including gathering, analyzing and summarizing data.Provides consultative services for data collection and data management techniques to faculty, residents, fellows, and students conducting medical education research.Provides basic training in software for qualitative data analysis (Dedoose).Assists Principal Investigator(s) with grant preparation and/or abstract submission.Assists primary investigators with preparation of proposals.Contributes to manuscript and presentation preparation, including preparing tables, formatting, inserting references from reference manager (Zotero), may submit directly to journal, if appropriate.Performs systematic reviews of medical education literature in various electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, ERIC, etc.Assists with organizing and summarizing key points from relevant articles.Compiles required documentation in preparation for IRB submission.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
