Westchester VeterinaryCenter and Cat Clinic is seeking a full-time or part-time DVM who has weekend availability!

Westchester Veterinary Center and Cat Clinic is a well established practice with a large population of loyal and motivated clientele. We have new IDEXX lab equipment, digital/ dental x-ray and a dedicated surgical suite. Westchester is newly remodeled and has 5 total exam rooms!Our multi-doctor practice provides a bond-centered environment that is exciting, fast-paced, and professionally challenging while keeping the service to our clients and their pets at the center of our focus.Living in WestchesterLiving in the Westchester area of Los Angeles, California, offers residents a unique blend of coastal charm and city convenience. The neighborhood boasts a diverse community, excellent schools, and a variety of dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities, all while maintaining a laid-back, coastal vibe.What We OfferCompetitive Salary ($140,000 - $200,000 per year Full Time)Production Bonus PayMedical/Dental/Vision insurancePaid Time OffContinuing Education time off and reimbursementEmployee Referral ProgramFinancial Wellness Program401K with company matchPaid license fees, VIN/Plumbs membership, and Liability InsuranceWork/Life Balance (me time)CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTSSupports excellence in client experienceWorks collaboratively with HM and Medical DirectorPractices high quality, gold standard medicineExamine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical carePerform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeriesPrescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plansCounsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeingInterpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plansAssist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when neededStay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practicesCompetencies And ExperienceValid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of California2+ years of clinical experience, preferredStrong clinical skills and sound medical judgmentGood communication skills, both written and verbalTime-management and delegation abilitiesExercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skillsProfessionalism and courtesy in all interactions with othersPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
