Peavine Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, compassionate Associate DVM to join our team as we embark on an exciting expansion to better serve the Reno/Sparks community.

We are growing our hospital to provide weekend hours, urgent care services, and elevating the level of veterinary medicine we can offer pets and their families.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to truly practice at the top of your license, utilizing your extensive skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care. As part of our dedicated team, you will be empowered to make a lasting impact on the lives of pets and their owners in our community.What We OfferCompetitive Salary ($120,000 - $160,000 per year)Production Bonus PayMedical/Dental/Vision insurancePaid Time OffContinuing Education time off and reimbursementEmployee Referral ProgramFinancial Wellness Program401K + company matchPaid license fees, VIN/Plumbs membership, and Liability InsuranceWork/Life Balance (me time)CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:Supports excellence in client experienceWorks collaboratively with HM and Medical DirectorPractices high quality, gold standard medicineExamine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical carePerform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeriesPrescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plansCounsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeingInterpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plansMaintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentationAssist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when neededStay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practicesCompetencies And ExperienceValid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of NV2+ years of clinical experienceStrong clinical and surgical skills and sound medical judgmentGood communication skills, both written and verbalTime-management and delegation abilitiesExercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skillsProfessionalism and courtesy in all interactions with othersPeavine Animal Hospital is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
