The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for creating and implementing designs that make human-computer interactions intuitive, accessible, adaptive, consistent, and relevant to the task performed. The designer must ensure that the design of a system satisfies the functionality required by the user and considers the emotions a functionality will invoke.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Lead UX projects and drive UX strategyParticipate in user research and evaluate user feedbackContribute to and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.Translate a product's optimal functionality requirements into interactive and visually creative solutions.Incorporate market research and psychology, design the human-computer interface for optimal effectiveness, include easily navigable content, and deliver high-quality visual/information designs for maximum, pixel-perfect aesthetic appeal.Participate in the discovery, design, development, and deployment processes of the software delivery lifecycle – market and user research, creating journey maps, site maps, personas, wireframes, hi-fi interface designs, information architecture, validating assumptions using usability testing, and supporting front-end development.Experience working on B2B, B2B2C, and D2C platforms for the web, enterprise applications, software that leverage emergent technologies, consumer appliances, and mobile devices.Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills are necessary as the role requires active collaboration with product owners, UX peers, developers, business stakeholders, and corporate brand marketing.Facilitate design thinking workshops as needed to support the overall product UX roadmap and vision.Leverage metrics, qualitative, and quantitative research to validate design decisions and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and clients.Participate in or lead client progress meetings by reporting results, making recommendations, and assisting clients in understanding strategies developed that aid in strategic decisions.Generate and communicate research, conceptual ideas, attractive designs, and design rationale; all within a structured user-centered design process.Manage the end-to-end experience journey of the product.
What are the requirements needed for this position?5+ years of relevant UX/UI design experience, interaction design, information architecture, software/web design, or similar role.Demonstrable expertise in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe CS/CC, or Axure.Experience designing responsive user experiences accessible on any device (e.g., desktop computers, tablets, mobile phones, etc.).Working knowledge of ADA accessibility standards.Experience in executing moderated and unmoderated user testing phases to encourage a data-driven design approach.Attention to detail and passion for best-in-class visual designs.A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience creating great user-centered design solutions that have moved the needle commercially or in terms of customer satisfaction.Basic knowledge of essential front-end technologies - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Bootstrap and Google Material Design is a plus.Experience working in collaborative teams including developers to implement designs.Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technologies and best practices.Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture, and design.Ability to define patterns and advocate for consistency without repressing inspiration or inhibiting innovation.Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.Experience with agile/scrum.Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), communications, or equivalent professional experience as an interactive/user experience designer.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?UX certifications (NNG, HFI, etc.).Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.A strong work ethic, a relentless focus on the customer, demonstrated experience delivering the needs of the business, and experience designing simple and intuitive interfaces for complex applications across multiple sectors (e-commerce, retail, SaaS, B2B, B2C) and devices - desktop, tablet, mobile (web & apps).You are metrics and outcome driven.Experience with A/B Testing and Impression Testing.
Pay Range$84,100.00 - $140,500.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
