Our unique technology enables the highest system performance in the most compact and cost-effective formats in a variety of applications.This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties.We are presently seeking a Summer Software Engineering Intern that will contribute to software projects at our facility in Billerica, MA on our Axsun brand of Swept-Source OCT products.
Main ResponsibilitiesAutomate processes using modern software development tools;Improve usability and breadth of SDKs for high-speed imaging libraries;Generate software and procedures to support efficient inspection/test of manufactured electronics hardware;Add functionality to existing software products by evaluating, selecting, and integrating 3rd-party libraries.RequirementsJunior- or senior-level undergraduate or recent graduate in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field;Familiarity with modern CI/CD software methods and tools, including source code management, build, test, and deployment;Sound programming skills in C++ for Windows and Linux targets;Nice-to-have: Experience in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C#, and other languages and scientific computing environments;Interested in imaging & image processing, high-bandwidth data management, 3D user interfaces, software quality & documentation, high-tech manufacturing.This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Citizen. Visa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas.
