The Senior Director, Associate General Counsel, Employment, Labor, and Benefits role reports directly to the SVP, General Counsel, US Commercial and TGO. This position will support employment, labor, and benefits matters in the US with additional responsibility for employment-related, cross-border matters and global project teams.This role partners principally with others in the Legal Department as well as Human Resources, Compliance and Ethics, Operations, Commercial, and Security Operations to provide legal support and training essential to their respective short- and long-term business functions and address, plan for, and/or resolve various and complex employment, labor, and benefits issues relating to the US workforce. This role prepares and provides policies, trainings and updates to management on developing legal matters, HR best practices, and similar matters. Additionally, this role assists U.S. business units with day-to-day employee relations issues. Knowledge of U.S. immigration law is a plus.This role collaborates with attorneys and other professionals inside and outside of the U.S. who possess certain subject matter expertise to ensure all legal matters are assessed and handled capably.How you’ll spend your day

Develop and execute strategic direction, policies and training related to legal matters impacting Teva’s US workforceCounsel business on employee relations, dispute resolution, and litigation avoidanceManage US-based employment and benefits litigations, union relationships and bargaining, and administrative agency investigations relating to like topicsManage legal budget and ensure alignment with financial targetsManage outside counsel who provide services in support of this roleProvide Transactional Support on divestitures, acquisitions, and joint ventures as they relate to employment, labor, and benefitsProvide trainings to management and employees on emerging and/or hot legal topicsYour experience and qualifications

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top tier law school is required. Advanced degree in chemical, biological or pharmacy sciences is also beneficialA minimum of 15 years prior experience at law firm and/or in-house legal departmentMinimum 5 years of litigation experiencePharmaceutical experience, either working in-house or supporting through private practice is required.Admission to practice law in the state of New JerseyStrong relationship-building skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders.Strong written and communication skills, including presentation skills.Strong business acumenAbility to support department goals, track, and report execution progress.Proactive and collaborative, working with key stakeholders internally and externally.Techniques to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities.Substantive experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Up to 33% travel, including international, as neededEnjoy a more rewarding choice
