The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the company's strategic vision. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the construction industry and a proven ability to drive business growth. This is a key role for their business and will require a high level of drive, personality, and initiative. The Director of Business development will be expected to work both in office and also venture out into the construction field to grow strong relationships in the market for years to come.
Job Description
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets and expand market share.Client Acquisition:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and leveraging industry contacts.Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, partners, and key stakeholders to ensure continued business and referrals.Proposal Management:
Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids, ensuring they align with client needs and company capabilities.Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for business expansion.Collaboration:
Work closely with senior management, project managers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of business development strategies with company goals.Reporting:

The Successful Applicant
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within the commercial construction industry.Proven Track Record:
Demonstrated success in securing new business, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the construction industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.Skills:
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Travel:
Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.What's on Offer
