In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications on critical platforms. As a lead, you will be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity to partner closely with the business and technology teams across the shores and will be a key enabler in the creation/adoption of technology.The Value You BringAs a software engineer, you will be responsible for designing Enterprise Solutions and Applications for business problems. Help the team in key design aspects of Performance, Scalability, Resiliency, Security, and High Availability.Actively participate in release planning, daily stand-ups, as well as working & helping the team with tactical activities like Java Development, code review, performance tuning, bug fixing, design optimization, etc. Recommend and follow best engineering practices. Build quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and best practices to solve business problems by driving design, development, and ongoing support.The Skills That Are Key to This RoleBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology3+ years of software product experience working on commercially available softwareStrong hands-on experience in API Design/DevelopmentReal passion for development and preferably part of a team that has dynamic, high-volume data platformHands-on experience working in Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger, Relational and Non-Relational database systems, Caches, etc.Experience with DevOps and CI/CD (Maven, Stash, Docker, Jenkins, Sonar)Experience building cloud-hosted (AWS, Azure) applicationsDeveloping multi-tier internet-facing web applications with Angular, Typescript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS is a plusStrong design thinking and solutioning ability to provide optimal solutions for complex data transformation use casesSolid experience in writing complex SQL queries on Oracle (AWS) and performance optimization for large data volumesHands-on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation, serverless, compute, container, and database services)Excellent communicator to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure common understanding of design to streamline and optimize data enablementPrior experience working in Agile software development environments, with proven ability to convert user stories into delivery work that provides incremental, iterative delivery of business valueHands-on Development experience in Informatica PowerCenter is good to haveExposure to Control M, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins CoreKnowledge of Aerospike and Snowflake is preferredExcellent communications and interpersonal skillsGood email communication and handshake/status call etiquetteCreative, energetic, assertive hands-on professional who enjoys the challenge of changeExposure to Finance and Market is preferredStrong written and oral communication skills along with a good attention to detailAbility to perform independent technical analysis on complex projectsHigh level of commitment, initiative, vision, and enthusiasm
