Description:
The Claims Technology team is looking for a mid-level Data Architect/Analyst. Requirements As a Data Architect/Analyst, the candidate will work closely with business and technology partners to deliver solutions. Data consultant with deep programming knowledge understanding complex data relationships and able to apply visualizations skills (like tableau, highly advanced excel pivot, ). There will be team support for multiple claims products, and, depending on workload (sprint to sprint), individual will be supporting product to product in horizontal role supporting existing Dev leads. Our data team is horizontal team, serving needs of 30 other vertical scrum teams, working more than one project on any given day. This Data Architect/Analyst is an individual contributor and will not have anyone reporting in. The top performer will be someone with deep analytical skills, is self-driven and has ability to drill into complex data relationship with little to zero guidance.
Required Skills:
Primary Skill - Oracle SQL / PLSQL
Secondary Skill - Tableau
Tertiary Skill - Data modelling and architecture
8+ years of experience (preferably in the financial industry), with a minimum of 2 years of experience with the agile methodology.
Have experience as a technical data developer and analyst with data architecture exposure
Strong analytics and communication skills including ability to drive diverse group towards common goals and clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
Ability to balance need to deliver multiple concurrent projects while maintaining architectural standards
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL ETL
Experience in Oracle Data Warehouse with large amounts of data
Experience in Tableau
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
Advanced problem-solving skills, analyzing complex data and ability, advanced data visualization skills
Be able to design the conceptual, logical and physical data models necessary to support the analytic data requirements for various department reporting needs
Experience in data visualization tools
Strong data analysis experience
Creates documentation for all activities and may work with technology staff in design of any system to run models developed.
Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value. Challenges data and information integrity. .
Operational Data Store modeling, design and development
Data mining and producing novel reports for management
Strong Excel Skills with pivots and graphs
Willingness to self-learn
Ability to communicate verbally effectively and concisely and in written/presentation format.
Works well in a supportive and transparent team environment, while having the ability to research and resolve issues independently.
Good communication skills and the ability to engage and influence teams across technology and the business.
Preferred Skills
Financial Services/Banking industry experience a plus
Fraud Detection, Prevention, Servicing, and/or Claims experience is a plus.
