Worship Team Leader

Faith Community Church is seeking a person who is called and gifted in praise leading and organization of worship support systems. This is a serious entry-level opportunity for someone who is ready to lead and oversee the worship team of a church of 80-100 people. This is a part-time position of 10-15 hours weekly. The successful candidate will be a mature born-again Christian who is musically and theologically trained, plays guitar or piano, and can relocate to the Racine, WI area.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide leadership in congregational worship
Lead the congregation in worship at each service by overseeing and leading the Praise Team(s)
Maintain an awareness of music repertoire: past, present & new songs.Develop worship team(s) by:
Identifying and developing gifted vocalists and musiciansLeading rehearsals for cohesion of the song set for each serviceInstilling within each member a passion and vision for true worshipImparting an awareness of and encouraging a commitment to community
Selecting & preparing weekly worship setPlan and coordinate corporate worship for:
Weekend services (in conjunction with preaching topic whenever possible)Other special services (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Funerals, etc.)Special Music when appropriateArrange for special music when planned
Assist special music participants in practicing, setting up accompaniment, and presentation of ministrySearch for and encourage new talents for ministryArrange for regular maintenance of church-owned instrumentsKnowledge of planning software such as Planning Center is a plus.
Oversee and Maintain the Worship Tech Area Volunteers
Coordinating Audio, Video, & Streaming as it relates to worship servicesScheduling for each positionKnowledge of basic sound mixing is a plusKnowledge of presentation software such as ProPresenter or Proclaim is a plus.
Cultivate your personal passion for worship through things such as
Participating in an annual training related to worshipProcessing newly released worship material
Oversee the worship budget
Submit a proposed budget to the Session each MayApprove check requests for worship area
Understand this position is subordinate to the Senior Pastor.
Upon his occasional request, you may be called upon to assist in other areas of the ongoing care and shepherding of the congregation.The successful candidate will be a mature born-again Christian who is musically and theologically trained, plays guitar or piano, and can relocate to the Racine, WI area.Application Deadline
