BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the Maria Mangual Center, the Survivor Leadership Manager plans, coordinates, and monitors daily activities for the Survivor Leadership Program. This includes scheduling and planning of daily SLP programming, and the candidate will perform intake of prospective program candidates, assuring candidate readiness. Individual will work closely with DV (Domestic Violence) and SA (Sexual Assault) Program to conduct, prospect, and intake SLP participants. The individual will facilitate key aspects of case management, including distribution and tracking of: rental & cash assistance, Chicago Furniture Bank referrals, and additional participant resources. Individual will work closely with Accounting Department to manage rental and cash assistance. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, have robust cultural knowledge of issues affecting Latina/e and immigrant communities, a sensitivity and compassion to the needs of survivors, be detail-oriented, and able to manage coterminous deadlines. Prior case management experience highly preferred.REPORTS TO:

HybridRESPONSIBILITIESPlans, schedules, and facilitates the curriculum and daily activities of Survivor Leadership.Performs intake for Survivor Leadership Participants, including individual assessments of potential participants and assures participant’s readiness to complete the program.Adjusts Survivor Leadership Curriculum to meet participants’ needs; provides feedback on curriculum and program development.Under Director’s supervision, plans and executes once-a-month curricular activity for participants based on communal activities (self-workshop classes, yoga, wellness activities, etc.).Participates in professional, community, public and civic groups affecting the Survivor Leadership program as needed.Facilitates key aspects of case management including distribution and tracking of rental assistance, cash assistance, Chicago Furniture Bank referrals, and additional participant resources.Works closely with accounting department to manage checks for participants.Provides case management as needed to SL participants, DV and SA referred participants.Participates in Staff advocacy initiatives.Participates in internal and external meetings as needed.Generates program reports as needed; provides accurate and timely documentation.Reports to Director of Maria Mangual Center to ensure that all goals are met in alignment with funding requirements.Evaluates program effectiveness through ETO evaluation.Makes appropriate referrals to Mujeres’ programs or external agencies.Supports the transition of participants to engage in advocacy efforts with Community Engagement and Mobilization Program as appropriate.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSA minimal B.A. in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or in the human service field42-Hour DV-Trained (Required)42-Hour SA-Trained (Preferred)Competency and knowledgeable working with the service population’s cultural and social economic characteristicsExperience working with Latine and immigrant communitiesExperience Facilitating Group WorkshopsExcellent, interpersonal communication skillsSALARY$55,000 – $60,000TO APPLY : Please send resume and cover letter to emeza@mujereslat.org.Mujeres Latinas en Acción is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
