This includes production planning and organizing the workflow for the operations resulting in high-quality products and a safe environment in the plant. This role drives cost efficiency throughout the operations team and works closely with the quality, engineering, and supply chain team.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products and parts in compliance with company goals and objectivesOversee a workforce of union employees in the manufacturing departmentManage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtimeInvestigate and analyze current manufacturing processesDevelop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency for the use of material, machinery and employeesLead the continuous improvement initiativesEnsure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelinesPlan, implement and control annual budgetsJob SkillsExperience in leading manufacturing organizationsKnowledge in manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, painting, assembly)Knowledge in lean manufacturing methodologyStrong verbal and written communication skills addressing different levels (shop floor up to Executive Management)Ability to learn and keep up with product knowledgeAbility to multi-task and stay organizedSet ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnelProvide motivation, support and guidance to all employeesQualifications5-10 years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably large product assembly4+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity including in a union environment is preferredBenefits401K with Company MatchLife & Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountPaid Time Off (PTO) ProgramPaid HolidaysReimbursement for Select Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Aebi Schmidt is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
