Associate Director for Student Financial ServicesReporting to the Director of Financial Aid Technology and Operations, the Associate Director for Student Financial Services assists in the management, administration, and processing of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. This position provides institutional and administrative support by collecting, analyzing, reporting, and presenting all relevant information related to the ongoing compliance of Fordham University with federal and state regulations. The incumbent provides leadership, administrative effectiveness, and financial aid services with an emphasis on individual attention to students and high-quality customer service. The Associate Director might be required to work at other Fordham campuses. Some evening and weekend work is required.Essential Functions

Collaborates closely with other members of the Student Financial Services management team and Enrollment Group managers in support of the University’s mission and enrollment goals.Collaborates with multiple university administrative offices, notably the Office of Institutional Research, on the analysis and reporting of financial aid data.Prepares annual reports for State and Federal governance (FISAP, HEERF, Gainful Employment) and compiles statistical data to ascertain that all awards meet federal regulations.Coordinates the reconciliation and data upload of athletic information into the NCAA Compliance Tool (ARMS).Analyzes data to assist in the evaluation of financial aid policies and programs.Researches and responds to various ad hoc data requests from internal departments and committees, as well as university leadership; provides recommendations based on relevant analysis.Management Responsibilities:

Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.Additional Functions

Ensures timely and exceptional customer service to students and all constituents.Participates in professional development workshops.Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts or Business.Minimum of four years’ diverse experience in financial aid.Minimum of two years’ experience working with large datasets.Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

In-depth knowledge of Federal and New York State Financial Aid Programs.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Effective data analytics and literacy and presentation skills.Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a related field, specifically a Master’s degree in an analytical field of study, higher education or closely related field.Experience working with data visualization/analytical software (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, SAS, etc.).Minimum three years’ management experience.Knowledge of Powerfaids, BANNER, COD, NSLDS and CPS.Minimum Starting Salary

$85,000Maximum Starting Salary
