HVAC Technical Service Advisor
based out of our branch in
San Jose, CA!
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pmFull Time
- Pay range $67,500-$85,000 based on experience.Day to Day HVAC Technical Service Advisor Activities:Perform a broad range of equipment support functions and training for Slakey's customers and branches.Provide customers and Slakey Brothers Team Members with product application, installation, and service training for our major equipment lines.Provide education to all dealers on unitary and ductless products to include: product feature benefits, system matches, application basics, installation best practices, proper startup, and service.Develop and deliver instructional classes, presentations, and videos to assist new and existing dealers.Provide technical field support assistance for Slakey Brothers customers.Provide parts research assistance, accessory, and functional parts stock suggestions.Skills and Qualifications:Five years of related work experience and excellent knowledge of HVAC industry.Completion of a 2-year college degree in technical studies or equivalent work experience.Excellent driving record - able to provide a 3-year clear driver abstract with no more than 1 speeding ticket in the past 3 years and no DUI or reckless driving.Able to travel as required with extended overnight stays.Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy.Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency.Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately.Ability to use tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations.Recognizes when to use a formal or informal approach, good at crafting a solution rather than simply saying “no.”Excellent presentation and communication skills.Able to operate a personal computer, calculator, other office machines, and proficient in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout our facilities.Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies on a frequent basis.About Slakey Brothers:Slakey Brothers, established in 1939, is a wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Plumbing dedicated to providing the best service and value to our Customers in Northern & Central California, Western Nevada and Southern Oregon.
