Req #1914Wednesday, July 31, 2024Job SummaryThe Financial Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for applying accounting and financial knowledge to derive various analyses that will ultimately be used to drive Company strategy. Provide financial support and extensive analytics to senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Finance Leadership in the execution of the annual plan, working cross-functionally to collect, understand, and review key business needs for the upcoming year.Conduct variance analysis to show management how the budget and/or rolling forecast compares against actual performance.Support senior management with financial analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and executive-level presentations.Assist accounting on monthly financial close preparation by reviewing key P&L line items to ensure accuracy.Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports.Analyze the trends of key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.Essential QualificationsStrong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly micro details into a broader summary for different levels of management.Advanced Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Access abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy with an interest in troubleshooting data discrepancies.Education/ExperienceMinimum of 5+ years in corporate finance/business analytics role. Retail experience is a plus but not required.Bachelor’s degree in Science or Finance.Master’s degree in Math, Economics, or Business Administration preferred.
