Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 2-4 years of business litigation experience to join the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in their Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex business litigation in both state and federal courts.
Responsibilities:
Manage written and document discoveryResearch and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filingsConduct and defend depositionsPrepare witnesses for testimonyAppear at status conferences and argue motionsParticipate in settlement conferences and negotiationsAssist with trial preparationRequirements:
2-4 years of business litigation experienceSignificant experience with complex business litigation in state and federal courtsAmLaw 100 experience preferredJ.D. from an ABA-approved law schoolActive member in good standing with the California BarExpertise in managing written and document discoveryProficiency in researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and court filingsExperience conducting and defending depositionsAbility to prepare witnesses for testimonyCompetence in appearing at status conferences and arguing motionsExperience with settlement conferences, negotiations, and trial preparationWell-rounded, dynamic, and highly motivated with strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
