CNC Programmer , reporting to the
Manager of Programming , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. In this role, you will create programs, set up sheets, and simulation files to support the machine shop in the manufacture and development of our in-house hardware.This will be a full-time,
non-exempt

location.Shift hours:First Shift: 6AM-3:30PMSecond Shift: 3PM-12:30AMResponsibilities:Program complex parts for our mills and/or lathesProficiency in Hypermill and/or EspritWork with tooling suppliers to determine the best tools for the jobUnderstand how to ramp parts from development to productionReduce machine time per part when possibleIncrease overall efficiency of machining operationsProcure tooling necessary for jobsEffectively work as a team and pass on workload to the following shiftSupport and foster a strong team environmentMinimum Qualifications:10+ years of CNC machining experience and 5+ years of programming experienceHigh school diploma or equivalency certificateWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestonesPreferred Skills & Experience:Working knowledge of GD&TFamiliarity with inspection toolsUnderstanding of CAD and CAM softwareUnderstanding of feeds and speedsKnowledge of G-CodeStrong Mechanical aptitudeAbility to ensure quality parts are produced from programs being created/proved outStrong oral and written communicationCollege or Trade school certificateWorking knowledge of Additive Manufactured PartsMulti-axis Mill, Lathe, Mill-Turn and Turn-Mill knowledgeAdditional Requirements:Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestonesAbility to lift up to 35 lbs unassistedProlonged periods of standing, pushing/pulling, lifting, and operating machinesSalary Range:
California: $28 - $44 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
