Assistant/Associate Professor of Law

Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, Florida is seeking tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professors of Law for the 2025-2026 academic year for all subject matter areas. Areas of particular interest are Commercial Law, Business Organizations, and Juvenile Defense Clinic. Rank will depend on the experience of the candidate.We welcome candidates with outstanding academic credentials, including a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school, practice experience, and/or judicial clerkship experience. The successful applicants will also have experience that suggests the ability to effectively teach students in a legal education setting. The compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s rank, education, and experience.Essential Functions

Teach for 13 weeks during Fall and Spring semesters. Class times vary depending on the credit hours.Perform committee work, scholarship, student mentoring, and student advising.Qualifications/Requirements

Must possess a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Commitment to excellence in teaching and demonstrable, or potential for, outstanding scholarship.Prior teaching experience with the target courses is advantageous but not required.Practice experience and/or judicial clerkship experience in area(s) relevant to target courses, either through private practice or government/public service.Commitment to the mission of the Law School and its curricular and instructional methods and goals.Application Instructions
