We seek applications from the very best candidates in all fields of law who will excel as scholars and teachers and who will participate with vigor in our intellectual and scholarly community. We are committed to freedom of academic inquiry, respectful debate, and the exchange of ideas.Responsibilities:Teaching: Prepares for classes, available for consultation regarding the classes, assesses student performance in the classes, and remains current in subjects taught in accordance with ABA law school accreditation standards.Scholarship: Engages in research and scholarship through original contributions that advance the Law School's disciplines.Service: Engages in service to the Law School and University community, participates in the governance of the Law School, and provides service to the profession.Required Qualifications:Terminal degree in a related field; applicants must hold at least one of the following degrees: J.D., LL.M., J.S.D., S.J.D., Ph.D., or D.Phil;Some experience with legal scholarship that includes published or in-progress scholarly works;Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and interest in one or more areas of law;Exceptional research and writing abilities;Highly developed analytical skills;Excellent verbal and presentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:Some previous teaching/instructional experience in an institution of higher education;Prior clerkship and/or law practice experience;Prior policy work;Prior experience with interdisciplinary scholarship;Some knowledge of economics or application of economic principles to law.Instructions to Applicants:For full consideration, applicants must apply for the
