Position Summary:

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense is a trusted U.S. government partner for industry leading satellite, geospatial intelligence and cyber capabilities, secure communications, space exploration missions, military helicopters, unmanned aerial systems, and fixed wing aircraft. Our portfolio of state-of-the-art technologies, research and development, and subject matter expertise provide the U.S. Department of Defense, National Security Agencies, and Space focused partners the best solutions for their critical missions. We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Supply Chain Compliance Manager to mature compliance processes and policies.

The Supply Chain team must drive operational excellence and process compliance within Airbus U.S.'s supply base. Flawless execution in the supply chain is critical for Airbus U.S. performance on its contracts. Key elements of success include clear and easy to execute requirements, clear documentation and training, effective partnership with suppliers, and transparent performance measures which enable accountability and follow-up. To manage supply chain compliance requirements efficiently and effectively, organizations need not only the knowledge, access to information, and ability to interpret the impact of existing compliance requirements, but they must also have the capability to scan the horizon for new and rapidly emerging requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Compliance Program(s) - 50%

Create and implement a supply chain compliance program to meet Government and Commercial requirements for procurement, cybersecurity, and additional functions as required.

Develop, manage, and mature performance metrics.

Lead and assist all audits.

Review procurement activities to suppliers for compliance to processes, providing approval when required and offer solutions to increase efficiency.

Create, train, and implement compliance processes for adherence to requirements in Customer contracts.

Work with relevant stakeholders to identify and resolve areas of compliance non-conformance.

Training and Implementation - 40%

Hands-on approach to develop, coach and train affected stakeholders on compliance requirements and programs.

Work with others on the Governance Team and Business Operations to execute projects to improve tools and processes.

Collaborate with all relevant functional units such as Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Accounts Payable to drive alignment and implementation.

Promote opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, similar (quantitative) discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

6+ years of work experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or other process critical operations and/or relevant experience or evidence of exceptional ability.

Data driven - track record of using KPIs to drive process improvements.

Experience with defense industry a must.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

General knowledge of principles of U.S. Government contracts management including U.S. Government regulations (FAR/DFARS).

Experience working on U.S. Government contracts and associated requirements and/or negotiation.

Clear and effective communication required.

Team player mentality and ability to foster such culture required.

Comfort working in an emergent environment and working without established processes and procedures is required.

"No task too small" attitude.

Problem solving ability - clearly define problems, identify root causes and actions to address them. Contribute to the performance of mitigation actions, where applicable.

Passionate and relentless in following up on issues until a final resolution achieved and sustained process improvements are deployed and verified.

Ability to think objectively and perform under pressure.

Strong writing skills - Company-wide communications must be clear, concise, and reviewed for errors.

Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations (ITAR/EAR) is a plus.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience with digital contract management tools such as Salesforce and Deltek.

Travel Required:

15% Domestic and International.

Eligibility:

U.S. Citizen.

Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance in the future.

Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities.

Comfortable working with all levels across the company and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
