A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Private Credit Associate Attorney with substantial experience in lending and finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private credit, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. Experience with asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is a plus. This role involves working on complex financing matters, providing strategic legal advice, and managing client relationships.Duties:Provide legal support and counsel on private credit and financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements and related documentation.Manage a diverse portfolio of financing transactions from inception to closing.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective financing strategies.Offer expertise on complex credit transactions, including asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts.Conduct thorough due diligence and analysis to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Represent clients in negotiations and coordinate with other legal and financial professionals.Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and changes in financing regulations.Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-quality legal services and strategic advice.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in the state of employment (Washington, DC).3-6 years of experience in private credit and finance matters at a nationally recognized law firm or other relevant legal experience.Demonstrated experience in lending transactions and financing agreements.Strong understanding of cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.Experience with asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is a plus.Proven ability to handle complex financing matters and provide strategic legal advice.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in the state of Washington, DC.Skills:In-depth knowledge of private credit and financing transactions.Strong experience with cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.Familiarity with asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts.Exceptional legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.Ability to analyze complex legal and financial issues.Excellent client management and communication skills.Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
