A law firm in Geneva, IL, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, analytical, and writing skills and will be responsible for handling a wide range of litigation matters.Job Description
Duties:Represent clients in civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Manage and oversee discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.Provide strategic legal advice to clients and develop litigation strategies.Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.Maintain client relationships and provide regular updates on case progress.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff within the firm.Stay current with developments in litigation and applicable laws.Requirements:3-5 years of experience as a litigation attorney.Admission to the Illinois State Bar.Proven experience in managing all phases of litigation.Strong understanding of civil procedure and court rules.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
