Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Sherman Oaks, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and editing pleadings, briefs, and written discovery, as well as preparing for and conducting depositions and trial preparation. The role demands a proactive individual with strong legal research and writing skills, capable of handling various litigation tasks with precision and efficiency.Duties:Draft and edit pleadings, briefs, and written discovery documents.Prepare for and conduct depositions.Assist in trial preparation, including organizing evidence and developing trial strategies.Conduct legal research and analyze case law.Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.Manage case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as necessary.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to support case objectives and firm operations.Requirements:1-5 years of litigation experience.Proven experience in drafting and editing legal documents.Experience in preparing for and conducting depositions and trial preparation is preferred.Admission to the California Bar is required.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California Bar.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Proven problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
