The role of Vice President Finance, Global Treasurer is a key member of Wabtec's finance leadership team leading the treasury function to drive global cash management, capital markets efforts, bank and rating agency relationships, and all treasury related functions and operations.
Who will you be working with?
The Vice President Finance, Global Treasurer leads a team of over 30 individuals across North America, Europe, and Asia. This includes direct management of vice presidents and senior directors responsible for strategy, structure, and operational management for corporate treasury as well as insurance risk management while partnering closely with all finance functions and global businesses.
How will you make a difference?
The Vice President Finance, Global Treasurer will be responsible for all aspects of Treasury including the following areas:
Treasury operations to ensure efficient cash management to adequate liquidity to meet day-to-day worldwide operational and strategic business needs; oversee investment of excess cash ensuring protection of principal; and management of liquidity riskCapital market activities including public debt and local affiliate financings and other initiatives to enhance shareholder value and strategic Treasury and company objectives including bank and rating agency presentations and discussions, deal analysis, and compliance refinancing and funding requirementsMaintain an excellent relationship with the company's banking partners (both commercial/investment banks and credit rating agencies) - ensuring the company continues to receive superior support/services from our partnersSupport Corporate Development and deal teams to perform due diligence on potential targets and divestitures, while homogenizing and streamlining processesLiaison with the Legal and Tax departments to develop tax efficient repatriation and funding strategiesEnsure risks to the business related to interest rates and foreign currency are measured and addressed appropriately. Work closely across company business units/functions to assess and forecast foreign currency exposures and potential impacts on earnings/cash flow. Develop, recommend and implement approved foreign exchange hedging strategies to mitigate currency impacts on cash flows/earningsTreasury management system continuous improvement to evaluate and implement new technologies and products and services that improve processes and internal controls and ensure sufficient security and avoidance of fraudGovernance/controls to ensure successful execution of financial reporting for Treasury activities and financial transactions including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirementsEnsure the company establishes and maintains appropriate insurance policies to address property, casualty and legal liability risks related to its businessesWork closely with the business unit leadership teams on strategic business projects; must be able to work well in a dynamic team environment - providing fresh viewpoints and a wide-range of consultative advice from a business, finance and treasury perspective; be a trusted/respected advisor to the business units.What do we want to know about you?
This position requires a Bachelors Degree, an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. The position requires a minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive responsibility in treasury and accounting, including global treasury exposure in a public company and minimum ten (10) years of people management experience. Must have experience in negotiating and executing capital markets and bank financing transaction, including strong knowledge of financing agreements and loan terms and covenants. Must also have expertise in treasury operations & technology (banking, liquidity management, cash positioning) and foreign exchange/ interest rate derivatives.

Salary is based on experience, education, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
