The Department of Urology at the Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies (industry and federally funded) and to facilitate data collection and project management plans. The Clinical Research Coordinator will have regular interactions with study investigators and study participants at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center Campus.
Responsibilities include managing daily study operations related to the creation and monitoring of regulatory protocols through their approvals/modifications; developing operating procedures and workflow processes to ensure that the scope and direction of a study project is on schedule; recruiting, screening, scheduling, obtaining informed consent from, enrolling, retaining, and compensating participants; managing data collection and monitoring incoming study data for analysis and evaluating consistency; develop study protocols and ensuring protocol and regulatory compliance; managing study budgets; troubleshooting application difficulties; managing datasets and assisting with data analyses; assisting the PIs in preparing reports for the sponsor and for publications; assisting PIs with grant submissions, coordinating study meetings; and training other staff or students assisting with the project.
This is a 40-hour per week position (Monday-Friday). Evening/weekend hours may be required occasionally. Recruitment will take place in urology practices that treat patients within our health system. Applicant must be comfortable working in clinical research settings.
Familiarity with mobile and internet technology, remote data capture (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics), Microsoft Office and TEAMS, database management, and statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) are required. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and excellent communication skills are essential for frequent interaction with research participants, investigators and staff at multiple locations. Qualitative interviewing and data analysis experience is a plus.
Minimally requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination or education and experience.
This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
