OverviewCHI St. Francis Health is a ministry serving the head of the Red River basin located in Breckenridge Minnesota founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls in 1899. Responsibilities
Provide leadership of Volunteer Services, including management of four volunteer programs, through developed leadership competencies.
Auxiliary Volunteer program
Hospital Volunteer program
Hospice Care Volunteer program
Senior Companion program
Develop Volunteer Services policies and publish Volunteer Handbook, distributed to all volunteers
Volunteer recruitment – assess need for new volunteers across all CHI St. Joseph’s Health volunteer programs and advertise through appropriate channels. Interview volunteer applicants to assess organizational fit and provide organizational and departmental orientation.
In collaboration with Human Resources, schedule new volunteers to attend General Orientation
In collaboration with Employee Health, schedule new volunteers for Employee Health Screening
Maintain and securely store personnel files for all volunteers, ensuring compliance with health screenings, background studies, annual commitments, volunteer position descriptions and education are all up-to-date.
Support volunteer growth through education. Schedule topic speakers, arrange learning opportunities and/or facilitate trainings. All volunteers receive annual training on HIPAA, safety and infection prevention
Hospice Volunteers receive quarterly education on a variety of relevant/trending topics
Senior Companions receive every other month education on a variety of topics
QualificationsRequired Education

Sys/Div/Mkt/Local Supervisor – Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline
OR 3 years’ experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience
Required Licensure and Certifications

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with a variety of customers including: colleagues, donors, physicians/providers, Boards, volunteers, staff, community and organizational leaders.
High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
Developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, solicit prospects and manage volunteers.
Planning and visioning abilities.
Advanced computer skills to utilize various information technology tools (Microsoft Office, Volgistics, CHI applications).
