The Director of Human Resources (HR) plans, directs and oversees payroll, personnel, training, and customer service/medical records by performing the following duties personally or through supervision.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews practice policies and practices and employee handbook to maintain compliance and recommends changes as needed. • Partners with the Chief Executive Officer to understand and execute the practice's human resource and hiring strategy particularly as it relates to current and future hiring needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. • Manages the hiring process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with the leadership team to understand skills and competencies required for open positions. • Coordinates and has an active role in orientation. • Oversees the accuracy and completeness of personnel records, including FMLA requests and tracking. • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the practice attracts and retains staff. • Oversees the payroll functions and staff benefit change requests; processes biweekly payroll, etc.
