Position Overview

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a finance team. Familiarity with Procore software is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.Prepare financial forecasts and track performance against budgets.Identify and analyze variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.Maintain banking relationships and manage debt and capital requirements.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.Ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulations.Conduct periodic audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Project Accounting:

Oversee project accounting processes, including job costing, revenue recognition, and expense tracking.Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all projects.Monitor project profitability and provide financial insights to project teams.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Coordinate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Strategic Planning:

Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the company's growth and profitability goals.Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, specifically within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Experience with construction accounting software and ERP systems.Familiarity with Procore software is highly preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.Benefits
