A specialty healthcare company in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced HR professional to join their growing team as their new Human Resources Generalist. In this role, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, including recruitment, retention, new hire orientation, employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and compensation administration.

The Human Resources Generalist will:
Supervise employees who perform accounts payable and general accounting dutiesRecruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positionsCollaborate with team leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openingsConduct or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verificationsImplement programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational developmentProvide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagementProvides counsel and support to management on issues of company/HR policy applicationHandle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and team leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Practice AdministratorCoordinates benefits processing including enrollments, terminations, COBRA, status changes, beneficiary changes, disability, and FMLAMaintain administrative procedures for benefits processing in compliance with applicable government regulationsProcess bi-weekly payroll by entering, maintaining, and recording information in the payroll systemPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
2+ years of Human Resources experienceBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldTraining in Federal and State laws and application of HR policy in a professional environment and positive employee relationsBroad knowledge of the various aspects of Human Resources and Employment regulationsExperience in the use of ADP/ADP Workforce or other related systemsProficient in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and HRIS systemsDesired Skills:
3+ years of Human Resources experiencePHR/SPHR certificationExperience in a Supervisory role
