Summary:The HR Generalist will assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role involves supporting the HR function, including onboarding, performance management, wellness, record-keeping, reporting, compliance, payroll support, safety, training initiatives, employment verifications, benefits administration, leave of absences, and various projects as needed. The HR Generalist will play a key role in improving HR processes, enhancing employee morale, boosting employee retention, driving safety and wellness initiatives, strengthening staff and employee relations, increasing job satisfaction, and promoting the firm's B Corp values.Job Responsibilities:Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hoursCollaborate with HR team to implement, improve and communicate programs, policies, and processesPromote wellness, employee engagement, DEI and other firm wide initiativesAssist with new hire onboarding effortsAnswer and resolve day-to-day employee inquiries and concernsAssist with the performance management process and our employee recognition programsAssist with benefits administration and leaves of absence processesDevelop and enhance working relationships with internal staff at all levelsEnsure electronic personnel files are maintained and filing is completed in a timely mannerMaintain Human Resources Information System (HRIS)Create and share ad hoc reports, while also analyzing data, as needed, in an accurate and concise mannerOffboarding supportAdminister relevant training in compliance with applicable state lawsCoordinate and support other initiatives as neededOversee safety programs and related initiativesMinimize workplace injuries by facilitating Safety Committee meetingsParticipate and collaborate in various projects to gain exposure to different areas within the HR departmentEnsure HR practices and procedures are compliant and regularly assessed for streamlining and automationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of relevant HR experienceAbility to travel throughout the greater SF Bay AreaExperience supporting a public accounting or professional services firm is highly preferredKnowledge of ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, SDI, Workers' Compensation, San Francisco Health Care Ordinance, Paid Sick Leave, EEO complianceWorking knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), familiarity with ADP WFN is highly valuedPHR Certification or similar is a plusStrong technical skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPointExperienced with and comfortable working in a paper-less environmentStrong work ethic with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrategic thinking capabilities and excellent interpersonal and presentation skillsMotivated to make a meaningful impact on our firm and to develop oneself professionallyWork effectively with a diverse group of professionals across multiple offices and within the HR teamIntellectually curious to learn and apply employment related laws and regulationsAttention to detail and ability to step back and apply big picture thinkingStellar verbal and written communicationWork well under pressure; driven to meet or exceed expectationsAbility to work independently while exercising sound professional judgmentFlexibility to work on a variety of assignments; able to multi-task in a very fast-paced, deadline driven environmentAbility to learn and apply new processes quickly, while prioritizing and completing critical tasksStrong desire to take a people-first approach while providing excellent support to our employees and partnersKnowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR practicesMUST be enthusiastic about the opportunity to support our HR department and firmStrong written and oral communication skillsThere are many reasons to join the Sensiba team: generous benefits, competitive compensation, professional advancement opportunities, and above all - our people. Compensation Range: $68,000 - $85,000**Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location
