Finance Controller
to join our team in Orlando, FL at

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the financial health of our nonprofit organization. This role includes managing the finance team, preparing accurate financial reports, developing budgets, and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare the organization's budget.Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the budget.Develop financial forecasts and operational plans.Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.Coordinate and prepare for audits, and act as the point of contact for auditors.Ensure accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.Prepare financial reports for grants and other funding sources.Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.Minimum 10+ years of Accounting/Financial experience, 5+ years in Accounting/Finance leadership position, with 3 years in a nonprofit organization. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.Ability to work in a complex team environment and to collaborate with both external and internal professionals and other customers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; communication style that is open and fosters trust, credibility, and understanding.Proven proficiency in performing complex and high-intensity audit tasks is required.Extensive experience with SAP preferred.Shared Service and/or Global Business Services experience preferred.Business Analytics tool experience (PowerBI/Qlikview).Proficient in QuickBooks and all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Must be highly organized, able to focus on multiple priorities, and have the ability to multi-task while maintaining operational efficiencies.Proven leadership experience as well as understanding of budgeting and vendor management.Experience working in a healthcare organization is highly preferable.Working conditions
Prolonged periods standing, walking, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required. Work may be required in various environments as needed by project/activity.Physical requirements
May require the occasional ability to lift to 15 pounds.Direct reports
