POSITION OVERVIEW

The Controller role is responsible for leading and supporting all daily and monthly activities of the Accounting Department, establishing and meeting timelines to achieve reporting goals, and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls designed to protect the organization's assets. The Controller will be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial transactions and records.

Manage all accounting functions for 20+ legal entities across 5 different business modelsMaintain the organization's 13-week rolling cash flow forecastPrepare quarterly income tax estimatesSupport the operations of the Accounting Team including:

Accounts PayableAccounts ReceivableCash ManagementMonthly Accounting Close

Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial informationSuccessful and timely management of financial auditEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and proceduresRecommend any necessary improvements to systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsIdentify opportunities to enhance the professional development of team membersQUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS in Finance or AccountingCPA required7 to 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years prior supervisory experience in accountingDriven by accuracy, integrity, and accountabilityIn addition to GAAP accounting in general, must have an effective working knowledge of:

Revenue recognitionCaptive insuranceRetail inventory accountingState and local tax nexusFinancial statement consolidationsBest practice internal controls, policies, and procedures

Advanced-level user of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPointExperienced user of NetSuite a plusHigh attention to detailDemonstrates a history of:
