We are seeking a Senior Associate for our growing International Tax practice. In this role, you will work with experienced partners and teams in the United States and globally on complex international tax matters to add value for clients while being a trusted advisor. What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior Associate within International Tax you will:
Identify the impact of key international tax provisions (e.g., Section 965, Section 951A, Section 59A, Section 163(j)) on large scale operational business changesModel transaction scenarios across jurisdictions to identify tax efficiencies and incentives opportunities associated with global corporate supply chain transformationsIdentify multinational/cross-border tax issues and opportunities and coordinate with local country tax advisors to manage delivery of integrated global tax adviceLead the preparation of U.S. International Tax filings such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8992 for various multinational clientsPerform IP migrations, entity rationalization, post-acquisition integration and operational planning, international M&A, debt structuring and foreign tax planning for large multinational companiesPerform international tax due diligence and identify matters to be addressed post-closingReview and prepare international tax opinions and memorandums.Review and prepare international tax compliance and accounting for income taxes.Attend client calls to understand critical areas of importance and apply tax technical knowledge to specific client situationsCreate deliverables that are concise, complete and address the elements deemed critical by the clientWork as part of a multidisciplinary team and clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelinesMentor Associates when they are supporting the same projects by delegating appropriate tasks, ensuring they complete tasks efficiently and sharing best practicesBuild client relationships and demonstrate a working knowledge of client businesses; with opportunity to assume additional responsibility quicklyIdentify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients by using working knowledge of client businessesBuild internal relationships with other members of the Federal Tax team and the greater A&M firmValue diversity of perspectives and creates opportunities for individuals to feel comfortable contributingAssist with business development, including add-on work by creating business development resources and proposal materialsHow will you grow and be supported?

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation fieldCPA or Licensed Attorney2+ years of International Tax experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and conciselyExcellent research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skillsOIT or return software experience is a plusExperience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlinesHigh motivation to learn and growDetail-oriented and possess strong organizational skillsRegular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. T he salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
