Human Language Technologist
JTG is currently seeking experienced Human Language Technologists to support an Intelligence Community customer in the Northern Virginia area. Human Language Technologists are responsible for supporting Human Language Technology (HLT) use, including the use of SDL products. They should have experience working with human language technologies, computer programming, translation memory, and terminology management and are expected to leverage language, analytical, and programming skills related to HLT products.
This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain HLT-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Generate reports and metrics by leveraging customer tools
Assist with creating translation memory products, including translation memories and terminology databases
Assess accuracy and effectiveness of tools by reviewing search results
Help identify and resolve issues with SDL Trados, other CAT and HLT tools, and integrating these tools with other technology
Train other users on translation memory and HLT and CAT tool use, including SDL Trados
Basic Qualifications:
U.S citizenship
Three (3) years minimum relevant experience working with HLT (especially SDL Trados 2019) and computer programming
Experience working with SDL Worldserver, including the ability to implement and administer SDL Worldserver instances, ability to modify Worldserver workflows, and a thorough understanding of Worldserver locale usage
Superior computer skills, including MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in linguistics or language-related field, computational linguistics, or programming preferred.
Experience with additional HLT, CAT, and machine translation tools
Experience with translation memory and terminology management (training or certification preferred)
Secret clearance
Education:
Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.
