As a REPO/MMF Credit Analyst for REPO and Money Market Mutual Funds Sweeps, you will be responsible for building out credit research and analysis within Liquidity Product Management, providing fundamental credit research and financial analysis of SVB counterparties, offering recommendations regarding risk, evaluating new counterparties and recommending actions related to existing counterparties.Responsibilities
Perform fundamental corporate credit research and financial analysis of business-critical counterparties.Build out counterparty-specific coverage, including ongoing monitoring of existing exposures and risks.Lead due diligence of counterparty opportunities including researching financial institutions, reviewing key factors including financial performance, competitive position, etc...Develop financial models and relative value analysis.Communicate views orally and in writing to the product and risk leadership teams in a timely fashion.Prepare sector overviews, company reports and quarterly earnings reviews.Maintain productive relationships with senior management and key external contacts for our counterparties to help inform decisions.Provide insights and support to drive ad-hoc projects.Qualifications:Basic Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or (HS or GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience)3-7 years of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency or debt capital markets/leverage financePreferred Qualifications:7+ years of experience of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency or debt capital markets/leverage financePassionate about markets, research and investingPossess a growth mindset and be a team player who can adapt to changeEffective communicator who can organize, interpret, and summarize information succinctlyAbility to prioritize multiple projects, improve processes and work collaboratively with research analysts, product managers, financial risk management teams, and other key stakeholdersStrong analytical and financial modeling skills with keen attention to detail.Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg. Knowledge of Python, SQL and other programming languages is preferredMBA, CTP, and/or CFA is a plusIf hired in CA or NYC the base pay for this position is generally between $128,427- $173,755 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
