We are currently partnered with a non-profit organization seeking an
HR Generalist to join their team. The HR Generalist will ensure the campus adheres to all legal and company standards in all areas of Human Resources through effective oversight and support.
This is a
direct-hire,
onsite
position in Pasadena, CA.
Core Duties:
Facilitate new hire orientations and handle all associated paperwork.Provide payroll with necessary documentation for processing new hires and employee changes, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.Assist in the pre-employment process to meet DSS standards.Maintain employee files in compliance with legal and company guidelines, and keep an updated roster of active employees, volunteers, and contractors.Inform employees about health and welfare benefits and conduct information sessions as needed.Support management in the termination process by ensuring proper documentation, notifying payroll, and completing all necessary forms.Handle workers' compensation claims by gathering incident reports and witness statements, providing employees with claim forms, processing claims with insurance companies, coordinating with doctors, claims administrators, and supervisors to determine if modified duty is needed and available, and recording incidents on OSHA logs if required.What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent, a Human Resources Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Over 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.General knowledge of human resources principles and practices.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, employees, and the general public.Effective in presenting facts and recommendations both orally and in writing.Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.Strong attention to detail is essential.
