Selectek is looking for a Procurement Manager  will be responsible for managing the supply chain and planning of all inventory.ÂEssential Job Functions:
Manage a team of buyers through the purchasing cycle, including generating RFQs, purchase order creation, purchase order expediting, timely delivery of materials and final payment.Interpret and validate MRP procurement suggestions. Issue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) as necessary.Negotiate contracts that include costs, warranties, delivery, handling, and penalties for late deliveries or cost overruns.Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and execute reverse logistics and sustainability initiatives.Inventory ManagementExecute the quarterly physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods.Direct materials personnel to execute daily ABC cycle count program and periodic physical inventories.Review job orders and production schedulesÂProvide leadership and direction for kitting activitiesÂProvide leadership for pick, pack, ship activitiesÂ
Qualifications:
BS Degree in business or supply chain with a minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management and contract negotiation in a manufacturing environment Proven record executing quantifiable cost reduction initiatives.Advanced experience collecting and analyzing data from ERP/MRPAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills Excellent communicator including facilitation, written, and verbal skills.Advanced knowledge of Just-In-Time practices (JIT), Min/Max, Reorder points and other inventory planning methods.
