Manufacturing Purchasing Manager

Job Title: Purchasing ManagerLocation: Canton, GeorgiaPosition Overview: The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services, develop purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. You'll collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams to maintain a seamless supply chain.Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for acquiring materials and services.Supplier Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess performance.Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, forecast needs, and prevent production delays.Cost Management: Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.Quality Assurance: Ensure materials meet quality standards and resolve related issues.Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with laws and company policies.Leadership: Supervise and support one or more buyers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).10+ years of procurement or purchasing management experience, ideally in manufacturing.Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Epicor or similar ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
