For more information about Crum & Forster, please visit our website: www.cfins.com.Job Description:Branch Underwriting Manager Seneca Specialty PackageSummary:Directly manages a team of underwriters and underwriter assistants in the Atlanta Branch, which is part of the Atlanta Region of Seneca Insurance. Collaborates with Senior Leadership to create and implement underwriting strategies. Is accountable for staff development & training, new business production and the overall profit & loss of the Branch. Key contributor in budgeting, marketing, underwriting and administration of the Atlanta Branch. Maintains strong customer service focus both internally and externally. Establishes and sustains important agency relationships via ongoing marketing and customer support initiatives. This position requires a high level of underwriting acumen, market awareness and relationship management skills.Responsibilities:Directly manages a team of Atlanta Branch Underwriters/UAsPrimary Lines of Business include: property, general liability, umbrellaMeets profitability, retention, pricing and written premium goalsMakes independent decisions within underwriting letter of authority. Handles and elevates referrals to the next levelConducts monthly underwriting auditsInsures a quality underwriting thought process, with appropriate documentationCoaches and develops team members by providing regular feedbackHolds underwriters accountable for work product and file maintenanceReviews and completes management reportsTogether with the RVP, conducts agency reviews and agency management outreachHas an in-depth knowledge of branchs products and servicesCan clearly articulate Senecas value proposition and underwriting appetiteParticipates in training and initiatives to develop knowledge baseTravel up to 20%Requirements:Bachelors degree and 10+ years of P&C underwriting experience; with emphasis on Property & GL lines of businessPrior Supervisory or Management experience strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to apply underwriting discernment/wisdom in the risk selection processStrong communication and analytical skills to profitably grow the branchProficient in software needed to succeedExcellent organizational and time management skillsBroad knowledge of commercial insurance products, trends impacting the insurance business and particularly the Southeast Insurance MarketLocation: Atlanta Area ( Alpharetta, GA hybrid - in office and remote combination)

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $85,350 to a maximum of $142,250. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employees contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
