For more information about Crum & Forster, please visit our website: www.cfins.com.Job Description:Executive Underwriter - Large Casualty Risk ManagementRemote capable position in Southeast US - Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Tennessee.The Risk Management team is looking for an established loss sensitive, Large Casualty Executive Underwriter with an entrepreneurial spirit to build a territory for us. This individual will develop and grow a profitable book of loss sensitive, casualty business by driving broker relationships, soliciting target accounts, and developing underwriting programs, working closely with the actuarial and collateral teams. They will be responsible for driving qualified business flow from target agencies. Strong loss sensitive casualty experience with deductible programs is a requirement. Familiarity with complex loss sensitive programs and structures and collateral options is also required. This position is best suited for a production underwriter who enjoys customer and broker interaction, enjoys wins, has outstanding communication skills, a strong market reputation, and collaborates well with colleagues to achieve synergy between different business units.What you will do:Meet profitability, account retention, and written premium goals determined by the department.Makes independent underwriting decisions and maintain proper file documentation.Participates in training to develop knowledge of department, products, and services within Risk Management and across the C&F platform.Participate in projects (i.e. product development, workflow innovation, etc.)Effectively displays ability to build and foster relationships by managing assigned territory, agents, and accounts.Travel requirement: 20%Other duties as assigned.What YOU will bring to C&F:Bachelor's degree 10+ years of primary casualty underwriting experience, with a strong emphasis in workers compensation or equivalent training program preferred.Continuing insurance industry designations desired (i.e. AINS, ARM, CPCU, etc.)Underwriting knowledge of Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Automobile and Auto Physical Damage.Broker contacts in the Southeast, preferably in the Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Nashville or Tampa area to facilitate building out a book of businessStrong communication, analytical skills, and business acumenTremendous energy as we build out the Southeast territoryExcellent organizational and time management skills with a commitment to honesty, integrity and unwavering business ethics.What C&F will bring to you:At C&F you will BELONGWe value inclusivity and diversity. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $111,100 to a maximum of $162,900. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employees contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
