Job Description:

The Clinical Coordinator for Radiologic Technology is responsible for providing leadership and program coordination to students, faculty, and preceptors for the purpose of maintaining an optimal learning and teaching environment. The Clinical Coordinator is also responsible for areas related to teaching, advising students, program development and effectiveness, clinical site management, internship management, student progression, review and analysis of clinical data and outcomes, scheduling (student and faculty), student learning outcomes, and retention in accordance with the University's policies and procedures. The Clinical Coordinator will work with the Dean and Radiography Program Director to promote the stature of the academic program and to ensure compliance with mandates set by Louisiana State University Eunice and JRCERT.

Job Responsibilities:

10%

Prepare semester calendars, syllabi and related documents for upcoming courses, including dates of lectures, labs, clinical schedules and rotations, tests, and test review.

15%

Review each student's record regarding competencies, absences, evaluations, and maintaining counseling records and reports. Academic advising. Maintain rapport with the department's preceptors and staff so that both parties may freely disseminate ideas and concerns. Student Coordination responsibilities.

5% Keep a journal/record of clinical visits, observations, actions, phone calls (to or from) and/or emails.

40% Didactic and clinical instructing as directed by the Program Director.

5% Participate in program faculty meetings and program Advisory Board meetings.

5% Evaluate and create solutions, as needed, in collaboration with the Program Director, students and faculty, in areas of concern or need for improvement in the Radiography Program.

10% Execute all duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Program Director or outlined in the LSU Eunice Faculty Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of experience in the Radiologic Technology Profession

1 year experience as a clinical instructor in a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program (gratis or non-gratis)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree from an Accredited College of University

3 years experience

Certifications and/ or Licenses:

Valid, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification

Valid, unencumbered Louisiana class E driver's license

Special or Physical Qualifications:

Required to drive or operate LSUE vehicles/ machinery Lifting up to 40 lbs., bending, squatting, walking and standing for prolonged periods through multi-level facilities, able to reach and climb a ladder and stairs, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and twisting. Operate a computer, telephone, and other office machinery. Remain seated for extended periods of time. Make substantial movements with wrists, hands, and fingers. Able to receive and exchange detailed information through oral and written communications.

Salary Range for Position:

$50,000
