JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a great opportunity for an Associate Tax Director! The Associate Tax Director is an integral part of the tax compliance group primarily responsible for domestic compliance and tax accounting for the Sports and Entertainment operations of Fox Corporation.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESReview corporate and partnership federal, state and local income tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws and regulationsReview quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, including monitoring payment deadlinesReview interim and year-end tax provisions with a focus current taxable income calculation and validation of deferred balances in accordance with ASC 740Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business divisions and document calculations, assumptions and conclusions to support income tax filings and forecastsDevelop an understanding of the business operations for assigned business divisionsAssist with responses to tax notices, including corresponding with taxing authorities to resolve inquiries and disputesDay-to-day management of tax team members and/or consultants on assigned projectsProvide tax support to other corporate and operating groupsAssist with various projects related to income tax audits and planningWHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree7+ years of domestic income tax compliance experience; public accounting in a nationally recognized firmStrong understanding of domestic corporate and partnership income tax principlesStrong understanding of basic tax accounting conceptsStrong tax technical research skillsDetail-oriented and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to perform responsibilities independently, effectively and efficiently when working remotelySelf-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a teamStrong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Xlookup, logical formulas)NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Major in accounting and MBT and/or CPAPublic accounting experience in a nationally recognized firmExperience with Corptax, Alteryx, and Workday

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140,000.00-161,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
