This is an Associate Tax Director position within the tax compliance group primarily responsible for domestic compliance and tax accounting for the Sports and Entertainment operations of a U.S. based multi-national company.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESReview corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returnsReview quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensionsReview interim and year-end tax provisions including current taxable income calculation and deferred tax rollforwardLiaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business operationsDevelop an understanding of the business for assigned entitiesAssist with responses to tax authority inquiriesProvide tax support to other corporate and operating groupsSupervise staff and/or consultants tasked with the preparation of assigned entity tax returns and projectsAssist with various tax projects as assigned relating to tax audits and tax planningWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor's degree in Accounting7+ years of domestic income tax compliance experienceStrong understanding of domestic corporate and partnership income tax principlesUnderstanding of tax accounting conceptsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently when working remotelyStrong computer skills; proficiency in Excel for pivot tables and logical formulasStrong technical research skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a teamSelf-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skillsNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERMBT and/or CPAPublic accounting experience in a nationally recognized firmExperience with Corptax, Alteryx, and WorkdayWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
