We are looking for a Gage/Quality Technician. This position is integral in supporting manufacturing operations, tracking, and managing the gauges used in automotive manufacturing. In addition, you will work with quality engineers each day to conduct gauge correlation studies and confirm the gauges comply with standards. Our employees are well compensated and are eligible for health care ensure and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
Prepare calibration reports certificates and maintain calibration data and history using our tracking systemInterpret engineering drawings and GD&T specificationsPerform gauge and capability studies on new gagesTrack gauge repair history, costs of premature failing non-calibrated gauges, and obtain quotes for cost-effective repairsMake recommendations on calibration frequency based on dataManage vendor relationshipsComplete monthly layered audit of floor gaugesAssist the plant in troubleshooting any issues for the floor CMMs and gauge failuresCalibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure conformance with established Standard Operating ProceduresCoordinated equipment calibration services with multiple facilities and vendorsTrain personnel on gaging techniques and measurementsRequirements
