Overview:

The

Community Banking Credit Underwriter II

delivers detailed quantitative and qualitative credit analysis and underwriting for commercial and consumer loan requests. This role prepares detailed documents summarizing loan opportunities with minimal turn-around times and makes recommendations to Bankers and Community Banking Credit Officer. This role also manages a portfolio of credits that are assigned to the Community Banking Group.Responsibilities:Complete formal credit loan approval memos including preparing a cash flow model and other financial spreadsheets and analysis.Prepare detailed financial memos on prospective loan requests.Analyze financial and guarantor statements, prepare cash flow model, and perform collateral analysis to ensure loans are appropriately structured and meet credit requirements for lending quality and compliance as determined by the Banks Credit Policy.Partner with Bankers and Community Banking Credit Officer in managing loans and pipeline.Uses independent judgement to assess risk by identifying primary risks, issues and mitigants regarding extensions of credit.Review proposed loan structure and determine actions needed to sufficiently mitigate and manage risk.Exercises pre-approval and post-approval actions.Make independent recommendations regarding credit risk supported by comprehensive analysis.Manage a portfolio of small business loans that will include management of renewals/modifications of loans, calling on delinquent payments, and formal collection of loans which could include repossession of collateral.Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.Build trusted, collaborative, and supporting relationships with internal and external business partners.Represent the Bank and Credit Administration team in a highly professional manner.Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Reliable and predictable onsite attendance.Qualifications:

Two or more years of credit underwriting and analysis experience preferred.

Formal bank credit training or web-based credit training through RMA orMoodys or similar programs preferred.Ability to utilize diverse data analysis processes, techniques, and tools toanalyze and interpret property related data.

Knowledge of financial statement analysis and demonstrated ability to identifyand mitigate key risks.

Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships, internally andexternally.
