Overview:

The

Portfolio Manager

partners with the Bankers/Relationship Managers in supporting the administration, growth and development of the Dallas Commercial Real Estate homebuilder loan portfolio. This role provides ongoing portfolio management of the existing homebuilder loan portfolio and conducts regularly scheduled reviews of asset performance, with a focus on evaluating actual performance against original underwriting expectations and homebuilder income statement/balance sheet projections. These reviews evaluate information including quarterly operating statements, borrowers/sponsor financial statements, project inventory status reports, speculative unit aging testing, and overall analysis of the credit condition of the borrower/sponsor.Responsibilities:Assist Bankers in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective homebuilder and land developer clients.Identify, analyze, structure and capture opportunities for additional homebuilder loan business and cross-sell other bank products to clients; including partnering with and referring business to internal business partners and related experts when appropriate to broaden the client relationship and drive Bank profitability and efficiency.Provide support, as requested, to Banker, Underwriting, Credit and the Senior Credit Risk Officer (SCRO) in managing loans and pipeline; including but not limited to conducting site inspections, appraisal reviews, and borrower or project financial analysis.Prepare memos on prospective loan requests (Loans of Interest or LOIs) and term sheets as requested, assist in preparing formal credit approval memos, prepare annual relationship reviews and provide assistance in ensuring consistency with execution of terms and conditions provided to the client.Analyze clients financial position and credit worthiness to ensure loans are appropriately supported and meet credit requirements for lending quality and compliance as determined by the Banks Credit Policy.Identify and recommend mitigants to critical risk factors regarding extensions of credit.Identify and negotiate major terms and loan structure, including loan amount, repayment methods, collateral requirements, credit support and pricing rates based on risk considerations and present credits for approval.Assist the Banker and borrower to provide a preliminary assessment of any necessity to provide an extension or modification of the credit and communicate with the SCRO.Assist Bankers in retaining and broadening existing client relationships through execution of business development strategies and plans.Assist in the marketing process, including accompanying the bankers on client and prospect calls as well as other client entertainment activities.Build trusted, collaborative and supporting relationships with internal and external business partners, key resources and strategic partners.Participate in business and community organizations and regularly attend networking events.Interact with internal and external clients and provide extraordinary service.Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with other employees, clients, and vendors.Represent the Bank and Commercial Banking team in a highly professional manner.Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Reliable and predictable on-site attendance.Qualifications:

1-3 years of commercial banking, underwriting or portfolio management and structuring experience. Real Estate lending specific experience is helpful.Formal credit training.Knowledge of commercial banking products and services including credit analysis, underwriting, and treasury management products and services.Demonstrated strong MS Excel skills required.Effective communicator, results oriented, demonstrates the ability to excel in high-pressure situations.Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate relationships, internally and externally.Bachelors degree with exposure to Finance, Business, or Economics courses is required or equivalent work experience.
