The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls, alongside excellent communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Support in the analysis of financial reports, highlighting trends and variances, and providing actionable insights to leadership.Help maintain internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with SOX and other applicable regulations.Participate in the coordination and support of internal and external audits.Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with various corporate departments to align financial goals with business objectives.Monitor budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management.Support the Corporate Controller in leading the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Participate in or lead special projects as assigned, which may include system implementations, process improvements, or strategic initiatives.Working Conditions:Primarily working indoors, office environment.May sit for several hours at a time.Prolonged exposure to computer screens.Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of experience in accounting or financeStrong knowledge of GAAP and SOXEssential Functions:Lead and manage the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Ensure the company's financial practices are in line with statutory legislation and regulations.Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and providing necessary information and documentation.Provide insightful recommendations to the Corporate Controller and senior leadership based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.Identify opportunities for process improvement within the financial department and lead initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.Analyze financial data and trends to provide accurate financial projections and advise on budget adjustments as necessary.Competencies:Results DrivenAbility to multi-taskStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact with and influence others.Strong attention to detailPositive attitudeHigh level of integrity and ethical conductSupervisory Responsibility:This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.
